Go!Fest 2012 Events

Think all you can see at the zoo are cute little furry animals? Maybe a large lizard or a brightly colored parrot? Well, this year, we’ve gone all out! If you like big trucks, helicopters, and cool machines, then Go!Fest 2012 at the Chattanooga Zoo will be the place to be!

Join us at the huge Touch-A-Truck section and helipad where we will feature a landing and static display of Erlanger’s LifeForce Helicopter, the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Marijuana Search Huey, and last but not least, see and enjoy one of the gigantic Tennessee National Guard’s  Blackhawk Helicopters! If you haven’t witnessed a real life helicopter landing up close and personal, it’s an experience guaranteed to bring a smile to every face, young and old. There is not doubt the Go!Fest helipad will be the place to be!

Also available to enjoy will be the Chattanooga Police SWAT Team’s new armored vehicle, police equipment, fire trucks, and earth moving rumbles from some of the biggest Public Works trucks you can imagine! Like cool EMS and life saving equipment? Well we’ll have some state of the art ambulances on site for viewing from Erlanger Medical Center, Hamilton County EMS, and Pucket EMS. We’ll even have some K-9 Units on hand for the kids to see! Fire trucks? Yep, we’ve got them too! Even ones for your kids to get their picture taken on and climb all over!

These are just a few of visitor experiences to enjoy at this year’s Go!Fest 2012! We hope you will come out and meet some real life heroes of our community’s military and emergency services units!
